Plenty of haulers say 'we recycle.' Here's what that actually looks like for us.
The honest split: roughly half of what we pick up is reusable in some way (donation or scrap recycling), and the rest goes to disposal. We don't pretend otherwise.
If you want to know where a specific item went, ask. We can usually tell you.
What we haul (and what we don't)
If you can point at it, we can usually load it. Here's the quick rundown so there are no surprises on pickup day.
Yes, we take that
Loaded, hauled, and sorted at the yard.
- Working appliances → local donation partners
- Furniture in good shape → donation or resale
- Metal (appliances, shelving, frames) → metal recycler
- Electronics → certified e-waste recycler
- Mattresses → mattress recycler when accepting
- Brush and clean wood → mulch yard
- Cardboard → recycling
- Everything else → transfer station for proper disposal
